Soy Milk and Fried Bread Stick 豆漿和油條

Thanks to all of you who made this so much fun - ahdan laifu rob chyu and the people I've first met - kenny sop lisa cindy.

One highlight of my visit is in the national history museum, where they had precious metals/stones.

Some are of various exquisite colors. I looked at how are those precious stones formed.

It takes -
(1) A lot of heat from the magma
(2) A lot of pressure from the earth's crust
(3) A very long period of time for the magma/crust to cool and transform into the precious material under the pressure and heat.

It reminds me of 1 Cor 3:12

"But if anyone builds upon the foundation gold, silver, precious stones..."

In order to edify, or to "build up" the church, who is the congregration of all the believers, we as Christian need to encourage each other by -

- remembering that while we feel pressure and disappointment in our lives, the heat and the pressure is what makes a clay into precious stones. By depending on God (gold) and his salvation (silver) we can overcome and be transformed to express God's beauty (precious stones) and encourage one another through our experiences with God. This would be a genuine testimony and gospel for our friends.

thanks for the sharing david. sometimes it is very difficult to stay afloat because of the pressure and disappointment we face in our lives and not to also mention in church. but yes we can only depend on God; the one who has created us to be the crown jewel of all his creations.
